Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays
Whitehaven Beach is located on Whitsunday Island and extends over seven kilometres of white silica sand that is thought to be amongst the purest in the world. It is certainly no wonder why this stretch of beach is one of the most picturesque and most well known throughout the world. In fact, the beach was named the top Eco Friendly Beach in the world by CNN.com.
Whitehaven Beach Hill Inlet is located at the northern end of the beach. When the tide shifts the water and sand form a stunning fusion of colours. You can view the magic of the inlet from the lookout at Tongue Point.
