Keswick Island Guest House is located on beautiful Keswick Island, the most southerly of the Whitsunday Group, just 32 kilometres north east of the tropical Queensland city of Mackay. Keswick Island is a National Park with five sandy beaches and fabulous fringing coral reef.
This is an alternative holiday location for singles, couples and groups who want to rest and relax away from the stresses of city life.
There are no shops here, no cars & no stress. Relax with a book or snorkel our fringing coral reef. Watch whales play from our deck from July to September. Go bushwalking, fishing, or swim in the crystal clear waters of Basil Bay.
The Guest House offers 4 large guest rooms, each with a king sized bed and private ensuite bathroom. Each room has access to our 150 square metre deck with breathtaking views over the Coral Sea and neighbouring Whitsunday Islands.
Paperbark is our largest room & is situated at the southern end of the house. This room features a king sized bed with bedside tables & lamps, 2 seater sofa & ensuite bathroom with delightful Tree of Life toiletries & Rainforest Remedies lemon myrtle soap. The room has a small built in wardrobe & a teak sideboard. There is direct access from this room to 2 decks including the main deck with fabulous views over the Coral Sea & a smaller private deck facing Basil Bay. The ensuite bathroom features Louvre windows & overlooks Basil Bay. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Blueberry Ash is a large room & is situated in the centre of the house. This room features a king sized bed, with bedside tables & lamps, 2 seater sofa & ensuite bathroom with delightful Tree of Life toiletries & Rainforest Remedies Lemon myrtle soap. The room has a small built in wardrobe & a teak chest of drawers. There is direct access from this room to our fabulous deck with panoramic views of the Coral Sea & neighbouring islands. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Pandanus is a large room & is situated at the northern end of the house. It features a king sized bed, with bedside tables & lamps, 2 seater sofa & ensuite bathroom with delightful Tree of Life toiletries & Rainforest Remedies lemon myrtle soap. The room has a small built in wardrobe & 2 small cane chests. There is direct access from this room to our fabulous deck with panoramic views of the Coral Sea & neighbouring islands. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Driftwood is a compact room located upstairs on the first floor. The room features either an American king bed or 2 king single beds, a ceiling fan, bedside tables & bedside lamps. Driftwood has a small ensuite bathroom with delightful Tree of Life toiletries & Rainforest Remedies lemon myrtle soap. This room has views seaward to Wigton & Calder Islands & southwest to Mackay. Driftwood is an ideal choice for teenagers or for guests who prefer twin beds. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
We can arrange a variety of additional activities including deep sea fishing trips, scenic light aircraft tours and helicopter tours or day trips to other Whitsunday Islands.
